Gastroscopy is also indicated as an additional examination to confirm the diagnosis of other diseases (allergy, neurosis).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colonoscopy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A colonoscopy is performed to examine and investigate in detail the colon mucosa, including the rectum.<\/p>\n<p>Diagnostic colonoscopy is indicated in the following cases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preventive medical examination<\/li>\n<li>Abdominal pain<\/li>\n<li>Chronic diarrhea, constipation<\/li>\n<li>Intestinal bleeding<\/li>\n<li>Diagnosis of benign and malignant neoplasms<\/li>\n<li>Non-specific ulcerative colitis, Crohn&#8217;s disease<\/li>\n<li>Hereditary history of neoplasms<\/li>\n<li>Colon polyposis<\/li>\n<li>Diseases of other related organ systems, for which the intestinal picture is essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gastroscopy and colonoscopy can also be accompanied by a number of therapeutic and surgical interventions, i.e. removal of gastrointestinal polyps, removal of foreign bodies, stopping gastrointestinal bleeding, and dilation of gastrointestinal tract strictures.
