Cardiologist
It is necessary to consult a cardiologist in the case of pains in the chest, especially if:
- They occur in the retrosternal and left chest area, around the heart
- They radiate to the neck, lower jaw, left arm, or upper limbs
- They occur after physical exertion or during emotional stress
- There are shortness of breath and sudden choking attacks at night
- There is an irregular heartbeat
- There is an accelerated or very slow heartbeat
- There are episodes of loss of consciousness
- Blood pressure increases above 140/90
- Blood pressure decreases below 90/60
- The color of the lips is bluish
- The lower limbs are swollen
- There are hereditary factors, i.e. cardiovascular diseases in the family history
