Neurologist

A neurological consultation is necessary for the following complaints:

  •  Dizziness
  •  Recurrent headaches
  • Facial or limb weakness
  • Memory loss
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Balance disorders
  • Speech, hearing, and vision disturbances
  • Sleep disorders
  • Spinal pain

Computed tomography CT

Computed tomography is a high-technology imaging method. Digital images obtained by multislice CT are more detailed than conventional radiography. The modern Siemens multislice computed tomography scanner is characterized by high scanning speed, and its advanced software capabilities allow for three-dimensional multiplanar and volumetric image reconstruction. CT enables the detection of pathological processes in the brain, abdominal and thoracic organs, retroperitoneal space, pelvic vessels, paranasal sinuses, skeletal bones and joints, spine, and numerous other structures. It also allows for determining the nature, extent, and vascularization of these processes. Intravenous bolus CT angiography is performed to detect tumors, and vascular anomalies, and assess the nature of blood supply to already identified tumors and their relationship with major vessels, in cases of portal hypertension, and for dangerous complications such as pulmonary embolism. Non-bolus intravenous contrast enhancement is used for examining diseases of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, tumors, and urinary flow disorders. Oral contrast administration is used as a necessary preparation for small and large intestine examinations and pelvic organ studies. Virtual colonoscopy with intestinal contrast enhancement is performed for colon examination using an enema technique. CT scans can be performed for the following anatomical regions and structures:
  •  Orbital region
  •  Brain
  • Paranasal sinuses
  • Maxillofacial area
  • Neck organs
  • Cervical spine
  • Thoracic organs (lungs, mediastinum)
  • Retroperitoneal organs
  • Pelvic organs
  • Thoracic spine
  • Lumbosacral spine
  • Upper extremities (including joints)
  • Lower extremities (including joints)
  • Small and large intestines

Ultrasound

Currently, ultrasound examination is one of the highly informative and non-invasive diagnostic methods. It provides a comprehensive morphological and functional assessment of the examined patient’s body. For this reason, it is often the first step in diagnosis. The ultrasound diagnostics department of the “Diagnostica” Radiological Center is equipped with modern GE 2D and 3D ultrasound machines. Our department employs highly qualified specialists who are pioneers in this field in Armenia and have received training in leading European clinics as well as in the Russian Federation. They have many years of professional experience and are lecturers at the medical university. The department performs the following types of ultrasound examinations:
  •  Sonography of pelvic and abdominal organs
  • Thyroid and parathyroid gland sonography
  •  Salivary gland sonography
  • Soft tissue and subcutaneous lesion sonography
  •  Breast sonography
  •  Lymph node sonography
  •  Female pelvic organ sonography and folliculometry
  •  Comprehensive neck organ sonography
  •  Testicular sonography
  •  Transvaginal sonography
  •  Joint sonography
Ultrasound examination in gynecology allows for the detection of diseases of the female reproductive system at an early stage, before clinical signs appear, which enables effective treatment outcomes. For this reason, it is highly recommended that women undergo a preventive ultrasound examination once a year to maintain their health and initiate timely treatment if necessary.

Oncologist

Early diagnosis and treatment of both benign and malignant neoplasms is crucial for preserving a patient’s life and health. It’s necessary to consult an oncologist if you notice:
  •  Sudden coughing fits
  •  Loss of consciousness, balance disorders
  •  Bowel and bladder dysfunction
  •  Prolonged non-healing ulcers or fissures in any area (skin, cervix, lips)
  • Changes in pigmented spots
  •  Any unusual discharges (abundant mucous, purulent, etc.)
  • Formation of any type of tumor (lipomas, papillomas, warts, etc.)
It is essential for all women over 40 to undergo mammography. The frequency of repeat examinations is determined by the oncologist. If there is a family history of oncological diseases, it’s necessary to pay more attention to one’s health and undergo preventive medical examinations. After 40, it’s important to screen the colon, and for men, the prostate and lungs as well. Minor surgical interventions performed include:
  • Removal of benign soft tissue formations
  • Removal of papillomas
  • Puncture biopsy (with morphological examination) of breast, thyroid gland, lymph nodes, and soft tissue neoplasms

Dermatologist

A dermatologist deals with diseases of the skin, hair, nails, sebaceous and sweat glands. Dermatology is closely linked with endocrinology, dermatovenereology, oncology, allergology, and other medical fields.   The skin or epithelium is the largest organ of the human body. Environmental factors have the most significant impact on the skin. Skin condition indicates overall health.   Consult a dermatologist if you have the following changes:
  •  Skin rashes
  •  Furuncles and purulent formations
  •  Abundant formation of moles and warts, sudden changes in their size or color
  •  Redness and flaking of certain skin areas
  •  Persistent skin itching or swelling
  •  Inflammatory or moist skin areas
  •  Presence of scabies
Our experienced dermatologist can provide appropriate treatment and refer patients to relevant specialists if internal organ problems are suspected.

Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT)

The otorhinolaryngologist at our center deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of throat, nose, and ear diseases. ENT diseases have various symptoms and courses, making accurate diagnosis crucial for treatment. Consult an otolaryngologist if you have:
  •  Difficulty in nasal breathing
  •  Rhinorrhea (constant abundant nasal discharge)
  • Decreased sense of smell
  • Headache
  • Otalgia (ear pain)
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
  • Pain in the throat or paranasal sinuses
  • Cough
  • Throat itching
  • Voice changes
  Therapeutic interventions performed include:
  • Removal of cerumen (earwax)
  •  Treatment of oral mucosa and tonsils
  •  Lavage procedures

Gynecologist

Regular gynecological check-ups are mandatory for every woman. Modern diagnostic methods available at our clinic allow for the early detection of gynecological diseases. The gynecologist assists with family planning. Transvaginal sonography is an intravaginal ultrasound examination of the uterus, cervix, ovaries, and fallopian tubes. It provides superior information compared to transabdominal examination of the female pelvic organs. Ultrasound in gynecology enables early detection of reproductive system diseases before clinical signs appear, leading to more effective treatment outcomes.

Endocrinologist

An endocrinologist deals with the detection and treatment of endocrine system pathologies, as well as disease prevention. They regulate functional disorders of endocrine glands, particularly the thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, adrenal glands, ovaries, and pituitary.

Diagnosis includes laboratory hormonal tests, instrumental examination of endocrine system organs, and prescription of effective treatment.

Patients should consult an endocrinologist if they experience:

  • General weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, memory deterioration, limb numbness, depressive state
  •        Hair loss
  • Sudden weight change
  • Insufficient growth or overgrowth
  • Changes in neck shape, feeling of compression in the throat, irritability, nervousness, anxiety
  • Pain in bones, joints, muscles, spine, muscle weakness, frequent bone fractures with minimal physical exertion, limb cramps
  • Prolonged and severe urolithiasis
  • Difficulty regulating blood pressure with medication
  • Severe premenstrual and climacteric periods

Joint Ultrasound

Joint ultrasound examination is an affordable and informative method that allows assessing both bone and cartilage structures and soft tissue structures, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments, which is absolutely impossible during X-ray examination. Ultrasound examination enables early detection of inflammatory and destructive changes in joints and soft tissue components, determination of the presence of minimum amounts of free fluid in the joint cavity, as well as assessment of the nature of the fluid. Advantages of ultrasound examination:
  • Diagnosis is performed in real-time, allowing examination of the joint in motion
  • High-sensitivity equipment reflects the structure of collagen fibers
  • Unlike X-ray examination, it’s possible to detect fluid in the joint cavity
  • After treatment, an ultrasound examination allows assessing the effectiveness of the treatment
During an ultrasound examination, shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle joints, wrist joints, and calcaneus are examined.

Spirometry

Spirometry or Respiratory function testing is a complex method of diagnostic procedures and tests performed to diagnose respiratory and bronchial diseases. Respiratory function testing with pharmacological test – functional tests are used during the examination, i.e. external respiration parameters are examined when using bronchodilators during provocation tests (inhalation of substances that cause bronchial spasm) with stress tests with physical load.

Holter monitoring

Holter monitoring is a long-term ECG recording of the subject during free lifestyle conditions throughout the day. The purpose of the application is:
  • Detection of heart rhythm disorders during the day
  • Detection of vasospastic angina and silent myocardial ischemia
